I never even believed the trailers, always expected it to be a fairly empty walking simulator, i was mainly just disappointed that it wasn't nearly as pretty and colourful as they made it look in the release trailer. If games like the Witness can manage the bright, colourful, semi-realistic look then it's obviously possible, they just fucked it up with muddy textures and a shitty colour filter.
