Instead of doing a straight-up shoryuken animation, just press forward let go off the pad for a millisecond instead of a shoryuken where you go press down immediately, then do the rest. It's not as strict as a Shoryuken either. In fact, if you just tap forward, you'll see the Mishima do the initial movement for these skills, and getting this makes for a good way to practice these.

SF has really lenient input interpretation. Srk used to be a bit harder to do consistently.

Don't give up, keep hammering the motion, try to not ride your gate as much either.

Some people say to bump it kinda hard, but you'll get the down forward better if you don't bang on your gate assuming it's a square one.

I only got my first stick a couple days ago so I don't know how to "not ride the gate". Unless I make a clear diagonal motion to where it touches the edges it doesn't register. I'm probably just not holding it right either.

Doing 720s while jumping in is no problem but I can't seem to cancel normals into it for shit. I think the only exception is by doing Gief's forward knee normal in V first.

I played through the entire story campaign of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 before I figured out what the fuck this was supposed to mean. The worst part is that it's sort of a signature move for a lot of characters. Like Itachi's crow teleport is on this input, so if you can't figure it out, most of the characters are worthless.

It's an extra requirement so you don't godfist by accident doing certain movements into down-forward command normals.
So if you microdash and hit d/f+2 (something like Kazuya's abolishing fist) you don't ewgf by mistake.
