Not only did I play it, I banned myself from using the Champion powers, food in combat, and heart upgrades other than the containers from Divine Beasts, and I STILL struggled to stay awake while fighting this game's braindead enemies. Lynels are the ONLY challenging enemy type, and they are only hard for the first few attempts, since with Flurry Rush being as overpowered as it is it doesn't take long until they are reduced to just damage sponges.

Once you figure out the one mechanic in combat, the game becomes piss easy. The only real difficulty is fucking up and not immediately pausing the game during a ten minute fight with silver enemies.

And this is why BOTW is a mediocre game, the combat is 90% weapon based, not skilled based.
You can learn to perfect dogdge/flurry rush 100% of the time but unless you have good weapons, you will simply not be able to hurt this enemy till it dies.

Also flurry rush is broken and activates even if the attack you're "dodging" wouldn't have hit you anyway, basically turning the game into an dance of "abuse the hitboxes by hugging the enemy and mashing dodge"

I wish botw had more bosses. Like comparing it to dark souls I thought the basic mobs were around the same easiness, but dark souls offsets that by having a shitload of fun( and some challenging) bosses. Hard mode should have focused on adding bosses rather than the whole increasing rank shtick.

I agree that flurry rush is broken, but its so easy to get good weapons. Yeah of course if you have 60 dmg weapons things are easier, but you really just need 22+. The weapon problem is really only a problem in the beggining. Once you leave central hyrule, its ridiculously easy to get 22+ weapons.
