Reposting my roster expectations from last thread. Fair reminder that fighting games =/= Xenoverse, so those 30 character rosters people put together isn't even close to realistic. 15 is about average for a new fighter, and the same amount Guilty Gear XRD debuted with.

The fact that Golden Frieza is in means that they acknowledge Resurrection of F. SSB is the new gimmick that Toei is shilling, and it's obvious that neither Goku nor Vegeta can access it because their ultimates are both beam supers. From the mechanics that we've seen, it seems that for ultimates characters can either attack, OR transform. If they could do both, Gohan would have started at SS1 and have SS2 be an ultimate option instead of having SS2 be his base. I also feel like Goku and Geets being SS1 at base level is indicative of there being another clone set of them that start with black hair, and transform to SSB. It's an instant visual distinction that could easily be utilized between the two sets of characters, and would also pad the roster while referencing/advertising Super.

It's a no brainer to me, and for a first entry in a new fighting game this roster would be a pretty strong start.

This game would have been in development around the time when the Uni6 tournament was wrapping up, and Toei doesn't share script or character details with game studios. (We see that with Xenoverse) I doubt we'll see anything that takes place after that arc, so Hit is the current big bad as far as this game is concerned.

MAYBE god Zamasu as a boss and future DLC character like they did with Ramlethal in XRD, but that's a huge maybe.

The Black arc is exactly one year old today, which is still fresh as hell in the grand scheme of things. Generally rosters are finalized at the beginning of development so they can work on balance and implementation throughout the rest of it. He was originally supposed to be the main villain of the Android Saga. I was super dissapointed that Xenoverse never had a mission about that. Have 19 defeat Vegeta and have to help out. They could have even been fun characters, having the ability to drain Ki from enemies with grabs and have a defense attack to absorb ki blasts to refill their own ki.

i think people are misunderstanding when someone says frieza has a wake up super. it's too early to tell, but it looks like it might only be accessible in wake up, judging from the animation where he's mostly lying down. it would be unnatural to go from standing or mid normal to that. at the very least, it's a different animation when getting up.
