I really like her being penetrated by her powers over and over again.

And in Castlevanias, when you got a new power, the game paused to give you time to read the new ability. This is kind of similar.

It's not just that, it's the HERE COMES A NEW POWER windup that exists for every single power, halting your progress until you finally overcome the trial of patience that is the infodump.

Frankly, I'd think that they could have improved on that so that the experience is smoother instead of making it even worse.

Looks decent so far. Movement, fall speed and animations are exactly the same as the SOTN-based Castlevanias. One big gripe though, platforms blend in with the backgrounds too much
