Speaking of sony, I'm so worried about yakuza 6. I played the entire series and zero is definitely the best one so far. Unfortunately 6 from what I've seen looks like absolute shit, the combat looks completely broken, the story seems garbage as well and I heard they removed most minigames (not a whole lot of fucks given since they've been the same shit for ages and I'm so tired of doing them in every game for the platinum), but also most interactivity, stores and sidequest. I'm scared kyoudais.

Maybe I should have said hit and miss type market, in order to be successful you need to have a huge user base, problem with the mobile market is no one cares, games sell for cheap and need a big user base on top of that they're competing with smaller studios and indies who are flooding the stores with crap everyday.

Big studio's can find some of the market share, i.e Fallout Shelter, Final Fantasy etc. but as a company looking for long term success mobile is very unstable.

That's my thoughts anyway.

Nah, the reason was that home consoles were struggling in Japan in general. But the PS4 did okay, and then FF15 being good and getting japanese people to buy PS4s revitalised it.

It's not impossible, most mobile nip games that came out last year are doing fine. Over saturation isn't even a issue when your average mobage player probably plays between 6-7 different games including the big 3 mobage. Mobage keeps growing every year while the console market keeps shrinking. Making a good console game that will sell is much harder than making a mobage that just has to retain a small amount of whales
