If it were the 'S.T.A.L.K.E.R' Zone, yes. You can make insane money there, and the only way to die is if you're a bit of an idiot.

If it were the 'Roadside Picnic' Zone, hell no. Literally one step off the recorded safe paths kills you, there are horrific instakill hazards everywhere, every stalker died except for literally about a dozen.
