Regardless of Molyneux, how does it hold up?

It hold up just fine, a little choppy and slightly clunky but no where near unplayable, and if it bothers you that much get the anniversary edition.

It's alright. It's got a nice storybook vibe going on, and if you're playing it on the original Xbox, the plot and character progression is very well structured. Game's maybe 6 hours long, 10 if you're playing TLC and doing the sidequests. I still play it again every once in a while.

first one was decent, if you disregard molyneux

Second one had some good points, but also some major flaws like NEVER EVER coming to PC

Third one was not very good.

People give Fable 2 a lot of shite, and it deserves quite a bit of it, but it's not that much worst than the added content from The Lost Chapters. Aside from Reaver and the opening sequence, the game is pretty solid.
