The series is sort of like Nep in the fact that the combat gets better with every iteration.

In SC, everyone's got diverse arts/crafts and 3rd adds a lot of QoL features like a teleportation system and generally cuts out all the bullshit.

Skipping things will fuck you up though in terms of the story. Just use CE to crank up battle speed and you should be good.

You will spoil everything. Like the other anon said, each new game improves things slightly, sky in general is still the same battle system but made better each time.
From Zero and forward the battle system gets improved a lot. it's still in the same in essence, but you'll notice the improvements. Also i suggest downloading cheat engine and hooking it up to Trails to play them, so you can speed up battle animations.

It honestly just hit me how much impact this farewell has since SC just had Estelle and Joshua taking off without addressing what the others were doing. After this my hopes for CS3 are a bit more daunting since now something around these lines has to be done as it will hopefully serve as both the concluding game for both Crossbell and Erebonia. The "emotional" farewell in CS2 feels all the more less impactful compared to this.

To address one more thing, Olivier's whole "plan" sounds good on paper but the execution seems to have fallen onto itself a bit. Having a group of kids experience the Estelle and Joshua bracer adventure honestly sounds like a fair idea given what they were able to do yet I don't think highschool was the best answer to it.

Zero feels like it punishes you for using magic. Everyone has small as fuck EP, magic casting takes too long because you don't have access to Cast quartz. On the plus side, it takes WAAY less quartz to create lots of spells.

Yeah there is quite a lot. I missed a sidequest at the casino near the end of chapter 2. GameFAQ's has a pretty good guide which I would recommend highly because unless you talk to every NPC at every story progression point you will miss something.

No he needs to come with you, the choice before the battle actually does not matter it only affects the monster position. If you choose to lure them in they start away from the kids and you get extra DP for not letting them take any damage. I actually chose the run in an option and the kids didn't get hurt so it didn't matter for me.

I found it easier to enjoy Zero when i stopped giving a shit about missed Detective Points. Crossbell is SO BIG -and the surrounding areas- that it is too tedious to run around the entire city every chapter finding potential hidden quests. In Sky, it was easier because the story moved you from town to town, which was managable.

So, "my number reveals all." is referring to his Enforcer number right? Which means, he is X? Basically he is around because he couldn't date the noblewoman, and had to make up a disguise.

Although, his profile of stealing objects that are being misused by their owners doesn't really fit the shit he did in SC, although i guess he was purposely targeting Estelle and Co. in that one. But what about the noblewoman he abducted and has not returned since? I imagine that since he fell for Klaudia, she is not his lover, so maybe he simply let her escape her husband since she couldn't do so by normal means and has since adopted another identity? I don't really see him using a woman only to discard her considering his personality.

Are they going to patch PC version? I don't mind the google translation, but I'd just rather play the game with high res assets instead of the PSP version.

I think it's just fucking with you. The best weapons in the game are still Zemurian ore weapons and Anelace's unique sword that she gets by doing side stuff. There are however Quartz you get by never running away from a fight to running away from every fight.

I got into the series this year with Trails in the Sky FC, SC, and then moved immediately onto CS1-2 before 3rd dropped last month. I enjoyed the ride, rolled my eyes on some parts, and my thoughts on the matter were reinforced after I finished 3rd since the character development for Kevin was done so damn well. It has its fair share of problems and I pray CS3 addresses them.

Honestly speaking though, I enjoyed CS1-2 immensely even if they were mostly LN cliches because it's still a lot more enjoyable than a few other RPGs.

So are you saying Olivert knew the civil war would happen while they were in Thors? That's the only way giving them the courageous could be part of his plan with Class 7. What's more likely is it was a practical decision made after assessing the capabilities of all of his allies and opponents. From all accounts the western half of Erebonia was more intense than the east and thus strike missions, which the courageous is suited for, would be less effective due to the increased number of troops. This combined with his east Erebonian allies not having a base makes the decision a no-brainer. Valimar is just another point in favor of giving the Courageous to C7.

Looking at the timeline there's at most 2 years between 3rd and the Civil war. Considering he only had 2 years his preparation was pretty good.
While he has a lot of friends, he doesn't have enough friends in Erebonia to allow him to compete with Osborne who has control of the military, RMP. On top of this, Osborne killed the bracers guild's influence in Erebonia. 2 years isn't enough time to convince many of the current influential people, so he decided to influence the up and comers.

That's cool, I'm only at the beginning of Zero but I'm already loving the cast and the soundtrack as well. Will you be getting Sen 3? If nothing else, at least there are recurring characters from the previous arcs to look forward to.
