Which is better and why? I like TF2 more because(I know this

For me, TF2. I've sunk 2000 hours into the game and still play it often, whereas I was bored of Overwatch by the end of the open beta.

I like both and I play both

They're both very different games with very different audiences, and are more or less incomparable.

They're difference enough that I think you could play both but I'd choose TF2 if I had to pick one. That said, it's past its prime.

Although I did enjoy TF2's old highlander matches more than OW

TF2 feels like a bloated, confused mess these days.
But OW is OW so TF2 wins.

I really love that TF2 pub matches tend to get stuck in the same back-and-forth for an hour at a time. You end up connecting to your teammates who're trying to get through a choke and take the same route as you while and building rivalries with that one guy that keeps ruining everything.
It's fucking dumb but 16v16 matches feel more personal than 6v6 for these reasons and I loved the game because of it.

OW is better. It has more variety, it's newer, it's more polished. It's like they took everything about TF2 and made it better and then added more stuff. But I can pretty much guarantee if Valve still made games they would make a new hero shooter that would be better.

TF2 in its prime was better than OW is now but OW is better than TF2 currently.

OW might become better over time but its all in blizzes court. They don't have the luxury of fan supported servers/maps/mods but at least understand that things like custom games are still valuable assets to a game.

tf2 encounters are more interesting than in overwatch.

Used to be in the Overwatch hype train but patches made most heroes useless

-A more interesting setting and cast
-Deeper gameplay and strategy
-Longer more engrossing matches
-You can specifically choose which cosmetics you want either by trading or being a good goyim and buying them
-Not nearly as frustrating in solo queue

OW has in its favor
-Much easier to pick up and play
-Solid console support
-Waifus and husbandos to suit all tastes
-Cosmetics are better suited for each character instead of tacky add-ons
-Competitive mode is slightly less broken

I've played both and I wouldn't really say TF2 gameplay is that much deeper or in-depth. I think OW might be more streamlined but I think it's better because of it. I understand the opinion though. People who have played TF2 from the start are going to feel that way about it no matter what you say.

Prime TF2>OW>Modern TF2.

At least OW gets updates.

Played since early on, I played enough to know that TF2 isn't as good now as it was in its golden years (before mannconomy, F2P, and especially Meet your Match)
