Sony realized a while ago the conferences are in and of itself a show, not just a place to demo and announce new games. Like that whole orchestra shit they started with last time or how they went TLG, FF7R, and then Shenmue in 2015. I don't know what standards you people are holding this year's E3 to, but clearly it's not the standards they set there. What they did this year was announce a (honestly not that overpriced) console variant very briefly and then show a shitload of games, almost totally uninterrupted.
I remember an E3 where they said that the Xbone would not only be FORCED to come with a Kinect and there'd be no cheaper option, but that the Xbone would HAVE to be connected to the internet *at all times.* Like, they said that if you didn't like it, buy a 360. I remember E3s where they wasted our time with minutes of cringey fucking shit acting (MY GAMERSCORE IS 100% LEGIT) and hip-hop dance troupes straight out of a "cool" youth christian church.
