Why is SCH so clunky to play and feel so counter intuitive compared to WHM and AST. I swear all I can do is small top off heals if something hits a party member for a big chunk of their hp, or even worse, a large hp chunk of the entire party it feels like I have no good immediate response to that.

t 50 SCH without emergency tactics yet. Indom just seems like a weak helios/medica but using stacks for god knows why and whispering dawn takes at least 5 seconds to activate from pressing the button making it way too risky to use effectively

DRK is fun now because it has a great balance of offense to defense (ie: doesn't have the WAR problem where every single IB tanks your damage), puts out consistently high, sustained damage instead of being consigned to pre-defined burst windows, has a relatively simple but impactful level of party utility, has a lot of flexibility in terms of how it defends/heals against different types of damage (physical, magical, tanking lots of enemies in AoE, etc), and is a really active class in terms of just hitting buttons and managing oGCDs.

Stormblood DRK seems to have an even better offense:defense balance, is still about consistently high damage and can actually relatively freely create its own burst windows by choosing when and how to spend its MP and Blood, still has a simple-but-impactful level of party utility, still has defensive flexibility, and is still just as active in terms of button presses (albeit now there are a lot more Dark Arts uses and fewer discrete oGCD attacks).


I play DRK at a fairly high level (480+ All-Star points on FFLogs pre-Echo which I only mention because of the implication that you couldn't possibly like the prospective changes if you're familiar with the class) and I think it looks at least as fun/complex at level 70 as it has been at level 60.
