Anyone else slightly concerned about all of these old mascots coming back?

It was impressive that a platforming game was shown, but that's it. Doesn't look particularly good.

I thought it was Conker and I was expecting him to whip out a chainsaw. I was definitely a bit let down that it ended up being a cutesy platformer instead.

Finally, the Conker game I always wanted.

Looks like it would be fun if it was faster paced. Looks too 'safe', like it's only for children. Which I guess makes sense because the villain is called Mister Mittens

I love how /v/ is so uninterested in VR that almost no one's heard of Lucky's Tale.

I think they undersold that game, it's generic and safe but the execution seemed on point. No cringe, the gameplay looked responsive, it could sell just as well as the crap resurected from the 90s we are getting

If it's a multiplat and I see it in a bargain bin then yes.

To be honest it looked like a pretty standard fare 3D platformer, and I wasn't crazy about the extended world of characters, they had that uninspired look and design to them I've come to expect from kid-friendly stuff on the Microsoft platform.

Lucky himself looks pretty nice though, and I really appreciate that they've made burrowing a thing, given that's what foxes do.
