This is actually a problem a lot of people don't know about. Behind the scenes of Ori and the Blind Forest is actually a very poorly made unoptimized Unity game that's hard locked to 60 FPS, so the game actually lags instead of skipping frames. So it's not that laptop friendly game you might expect. Most people played it on computers that were overkill or Xbox One though and everything otherwise with the game is solid. I had no problems with it on my desktop, though, love the game.

If this is going to have anything to do with the plot from the previous game the owl kid is obviously the one from the last egg that Kuro (I think thats her name) had, and the plot may have something to do with the Spirit tree and his "light" being deadly to the owls who are some sort "dark" species.

Alright, here's the dealio for you fags without Windows 10, and maybe some hope. Cuphead is partnered with Microsoft for their game. It's on the Windows store right now and says "Windows 10 or higher" required. However on Steam, it says Windows 7, 8, or 10.
This means that Microsoft isn't too nuts with wanting things to be on the Windows store only, and that "Windows 10 exclusive" might just be a marketing thing and it really might work on older versions.
Cuphead is still an indie game though unlike Ori, I imagine they have Ori by the balls a lot more. But it's not out of the question that it will just work on Windows 7+ and be on Steam too.
