That Heihachi pop (from googling) is ~$12 on gamestop. Nendos with shipping are triple/quadruple that? Same with Figmas. Actual figures can run a lot more, so most people don't want to spend the money on them.
I guess it's just that those pop things are seen as "okay" for normalfags to get, while others aren't.

I went in yesterday to get Tekken, and literally a quarter of the store was dedicated to these things.
I saw the same thing happen to Books A Million when I worked there. Books fell out of fashion, so they started stocking DVDs and music. When music stopped selling, they hopped on "nerd stuff" and started selling Dr Who and Big Gay Theory shit along with vinyl records.
Last time I checked in on my old store there were barely any books, it was mostly knickknacks and shit, and the same thing's probably going to keep happening to GameStop
