So I started playing Nep VII after hearing how it's the "best" game in this franchise and I made a few observations. The gameplay is solid, although I hear this has the best combat system in the series or I just simply misheard but if I am correct on that, I shudder to think what the other game's gameplay is like.

Also the plot seems to be fairly non-existent aside from a few big events and the rest is just small talk. I honestly just skipped around some of the dialogues since I didn't really care to hear about pudding and the likes. It's definitely catered towards fans of its series and I don't fault that. If I got anything out of this experience, I'd definitely say this series definitely isn't for me and until I overhear some better gameplay for the series to arrive, then I'll probably get into it again. I hear 4GO is pretty alright. An graphical improvement wouldn't hurt either honestly, I can't believe I'm playing something like this on a PS4 of all things. It'd be something else if they actually got tsunako's art even more fully realized in a game's 3D assets but I can dream.
