I think they've fixed it. The original Battlefront games incorporated vehicles into gameplay very well, and the heroes were an incentive to do good. DICEs first Battlefront was a shitty, Star Wars Battlefield to test their engine. Now the game is more like the original, but on next-gen systems

Apparently the DLC will all be free and released in what they call "seasons" which seem to revolve around a theme/era/or specific movie.
There will probably be a microtransaction system instead, probably for skins or something similar. This is somewhat reassuring to me since the same system worked out quite well for Titanfall 2.

It seems like star cards work differently in 2 than in 1.
From what I can tell, it looks like each class has set abilities (Ex: Shield, thermal detonator, turret, etc) and the star cards merely modify the effects of them.

Looks good. Gonna split it with my friend and play it on his rig. We got the first one, and though it was honestly a shallow game, it was still fun. BFII looks to fix a lot, and I prefer the class system.

It looks like gameplay-wise it fixes a lot of the problems I had with the first one, and the reintroduction of points-buy special classes is a nice touch that I honestly didn't see coming. I really hope there's more than one per faction though, if Droidekas and Clone Commandos (complete with Delta Squad skins because they're 100% canon now) make it in my dick would fucking explode.

Still, I need to see how much is actually in the game before committing. The first EAfront was really content-light and locking most of the game behind DLC is what really killed it for me. Luckily I've got a friend who I know will be getting this day one so I'll just check it out around his place and decide based on that.

Overall though I'm a lot more positive about it than before E3. Really don't want those hopes to get dashed again though.
