I don't want anyone to fail as much as Xbox blew whatever goodwill it had with the industry in a spectacular manner in the course of one E3 press conference a few years back. They have a lot of this shit coming considering how much they encouraged the concepts of DLC and paid online as staple features of gaming. Not saying Sony and Nintendo aren't guilty as shit in this either, but Microsoft went out of its way to make these shitty practices standard.

A 1060 costs ~$350 CAD, a 1070 costs over $600 thanks to exchange. If we can get a UHD 4k HDbluray player with 4k games for $500-600 CAD it will be the #1 console in Canada for certain.

I don't want it to fail. I just think $500 is a mistake. Scorpio as its actual name is weird. Not including double rate FP16 when PS4 Pro, Switch, many current and all future desktop GPUs and mobile GPUs all have it, is dumb and allows optimized PS4 Pro games (especially Unreal Engine 4 games) to catch up to it.

It should have been a $400 Xbox 2 with double rate FP16

good thing? how? people who buy them still have hardware held back by old units while at the same time those on old units because 2nd class citizens on their own ecosystem. NOBODY wins aside from these companies milking their audiences out of even more money. instead of a ps4 pro and scorpio, we should've just had a shorter gen wtih new consoles either next year or the year after. ones that don't release already too weak.
