It's over viable, in my opinion. Certain spelle can effectively one shot bosses. If you're totally unconcerned about challenge go ahead with it, but it'll make most bosses and encounters even more of a joke.

pyromancy and magic are together in this game because it's not themed around muh fading flame

magic is broken as shit, especially if go royal to start with the mp regen ring
