Carth was easily the best fighter in that game. Because you got him at level 2 you can build him however you want.

He was actually far better in combat then Canderous and Canderous was still good. By end game, the only person my Carth couldnt beat was my character, Im pretty sure he could solo Malak

I thought Zaalbar was pretty decent. Handy for the sections where your group has to split up and you need an extra tank/melee guy.

Canderous is a beast with a sweet gun. Doesn't hurt to have a gun guy in your party.

Duel weapons. Duel pistols are better then Canderous Blaster Rifle.

But Carth really shines with duel melee. Echani Foil I think its called with the Bacca blade with attributes into strength make him crazy good in damage and to hit. Because you get him so early you dont have to worry about the game putting his feats into abilities that you arnt interested in like Canderous

The black jedi was powerful cause he had grey morality in between light and dark and could use light and dark powers without too much cost.

What really bothered me about their implementation of D&D 3.5 rules is that lightsabers still scaled with str for damage even if you picked finesse for the weapon.

It's a fucking blade of pure plasma, it isn't going to do more damage if you swing it with bigger muscles.

Well that has nothing to do with Finesse though, just their general implementation of no damage modifier from DEX for any Melee. Finesse states pretty clearly it adds your STR or DEX bonus (whichever is higher) to your to-hit.

He starts with a Heavy repeater, and people for some reason think the best option for him is using ranged guns. But actually, he is the best melee party member you have, although the game doesn't hint it to you based on his starting gear (just look at his stats.)

I used Canderous right up until the endgame of both Kotor 1 and Kotor 2. He was consistently the last man standing after all the flimsy Jedi had fallen. He saved my party more times than I can count.

Carth gets more feats and gets them earlier allowing you to both build him faster and not waste feats on things that arnt useful. You get Zaalbarr early enough he probably would be pretty good though as you can still control his feats. But it would take longer to catch up to Carth

Zaalbarr is a scout, so he gets fuck all feats compared to Carth, and despite his huge strength it means his attack bonus is eventually about the same, and he also can't wear any armor, which kind of sucks when you're not a jedi.

I'd say Canderous is slightly better as a melee fighter though since he has a higher str/con and soldier gets so many feats anyway.

Nope. Tsubasa is only good for healing, and Mamori does that better. AND she can block attacks and deals more damage than Tsubasa.

I know. The mages are looked after for a reason. It only takes one blood mages and the whole fucking place is full of demons and all the other mages get enthralled by demons. It happens every single time. The Templars stop it and then are seen as "literally Hitler" for not letting their guard down around mages because that is their job. Templars have a rough job too, the lyrium slowly drive them mad as well.

Fallout 1's dogmeat. I loved having him as a companion, but I wish he liked living a little more.
His death at Mariposa Military base when he got vaporized when one of the mutants threw him into a force field sealed every single one of their fates. I have never spared a mutant in a Fallout game after that.
