Continuing a discussion myself and a couple of other anons had about lighthouses and coastal towns being used as settings for horror games in >>379711417
Near the bottom, will be reposting what we all said.

Idea is basically a horror/mystery set in a coastal town with mist/fog, fog horns, grizzled old fishermen, decaying old port town.....That entire atmosphere and feeling of isolation or hopelessness
(depending on wheter or not the town is populated)
>Feeling of something or someone watching you through the fog.
>Did I see something in the water?

If you're not a fan of atmospheric horror this thread is probably not for you.......

Similar games: Sunless Sea, Call of Cuthulu, Silent Hill.

You should take a look at "The Lost Crown"

Looks good.
Voice acting is pretty terrible but that could be funny.
The models and real photos clash.....but thats forgivable.
Music is kind of obnoxious.
But the setpeices and overall atmosphere could save it. I can't get a good enough feel of it from the trailer though. Thanks.

The atmosphere and story is 10/10 but the rest can be little slow and stiff. It is a rough diamond and not for everyone.
