Anyhow I was thinking about this because someone else dropped apathetic looking Haru from the intro, how would you even work her in the story as it is?

Ryuji, Futaba, and Joke are all certified delinquents. Ann and Makoto are outcasts in that Ann is slut-shamed for being naturally pretty and foreign looks; Makoto is the teacher's pet and doesn't have any actual friends outside of her council group (which we never see her interact with, like Mitsuru who juggled multiple things in P3 on-screen).

You can add Yusuke as the weirdo of the school and that guy who studied under a fraud, even his Mementos line confirm that he's a bit of a loner but he owns his status. and doesn't bog him down. He has a stigma for sure and fits with the group.

All of them have reasons for wanting to break out and prove the world their justice, an uncaring Haru would uh....not sure what? Plot being the same, the apathetic version of Haru wouldn't have cared about Morgana and Morgana would have died in her dad's Palace on day one. And as far as group dynamics, we'd basically have 2 snarky Futabas with apathetic Haru. The whole wanting to change the future for the better wouldn't have worked and ATLUS realized this. The reason they kept that uncaring Haru in the intro is they already ordered the anime intro, they would have had to place another order, wait for it to finish, and place it in the game. The person who made the final call was likely the producer who had to come to grips with the budget.

Final Haru doesn't have any friends at school, her only real hobby is gardening with is a solitary activity, and has trust issues which is why she wouldn't hear your side of the story and only the abandoned Morgana's half..
