No. It's not like Platinum's other games at all. This is a Yoko Taro game first and foremost. If you go in expecting more Bayonetta or MGR, you'll be dissapointed.

Revengeance (Sam DLC notwithstanding) can be cleared by mashing toward-X repeatedly and letting the parry system work out when to block and when to string randomized, neverending flurries of strikes, until the Zandatsu prompt appears and you get full health more or less instantly from slashing your right stick around like a dipshit.

It has zero depth and you bang your head on the skill ceiling walking through the door.
