OP it took me like 50 hours to figure monster hunter out (back on MHF2 where the controls were actually bad), but it was worth it. Can't tell people 'it gets good after 50 hours' though.

On topic, I'm decent at other fighting games (MK, SF, marvel, SNK stuff) but my brain doesn't work with anime/airdasher games. I would have 0 chance against anyone online and I don't find them interesting to watch in tournaments. I love everything else about guilty gear and keep buying them though.

First time i picked the game, i was actually really turned off by the controls. But i just coudln't deal with it, so i practised a while until i got the hang of it.

The secret is calculating the distance of the attacks. Let's say you're interested in maining Sword and Shield: just relax and pay attention to how long your attacks reach. Also, try to measure the time it takes for every attack to finish its animation. This way, you'll learn to calculate when an attack is more effective than others. Remember, in MH you are commited to every attack you make. Practice with some Great Jaggis and, just like you did with your own attacks, pay attention to theirs.

Also, sorry for being an ass with the first post, but i think it's cool that you want to improve yourself.
