he's right you know.
he's half right

Nice try ,"Henry".

He is only jealous because he can't build up speed for 12 hours

cool thanks for your opinion couldn't have done it without you
everyone give it up for T. Special Snowflake for shitting on anything he doesn't like, no matter how trivial it is
The term 'Half A Press' is merely notation.

Kek, as if simple variable overflows are "advanced math and science. I know it's all a big meme at this point but this is seriously cringeworthy. It seems complicated because of the weird wording pannenkoek used, being a colossal autist, but it's very simple shit for anyone who actually knows shit about programming. SM64 being an early N64 games uses messy programming and doesn't have protection agains variable overflows and shit like that, better programmed games like Banjo Kazooie or Goldeneye don't suffer from any of those weird glitches.
>>379839236
>messy programming
yeah okay kid they built parallel universes with shit code
>>379838423
Like looking into a mirror isn't it, faggot?
>>379839502
That's exactly the point nigger, let's simplify a lot and assume the game uses a grid that's 100x100 possible slots, but the variable that defines the position can go up to 10.000, but the game still checks for errors in the last 3 digits, so if you go to 200, it's an error and the game won't let you move it, but if by overflowing you can go to 9.086, the game sees it as valid and lets you move there. What your memelord autismenkoek calls parallel universes are just variable overflows.

What do you think Henry smells like haha?
>>379839949
so simple, so elegant, and yet it creates something as advanced as PARALLEL UNIVERSES. it's coding genius
>>379840172
You could have that shit in any game if the coding didn't check for overflows in speed, movement units related to said speed, and location units.
The amount of distance mario moves with a single step is defined by his speed, but if you uncap that speed and let it build up for 13 hours, a single step would literally teleport you out of bounds, and if the game doesn't check for position correctness, you end up in a valid position out of bounds, simple as that.
The impressive part is the sheer power of autism that let Pannenkoek figure this all out without access to the source code, and I'm pretty sure he isn't a developer either.
