Tales of Xillia 2 is the only respectable game in the entire series. It's a shame it wasn't just included in Tales of Xillia from the start.

Eternia, with Phantasia coming in at a close second. Everything after Symphonia can go fuck itself.

Vesperia, but its been a long ass time since I've replayed it.

Is Tales of the Abyss good? Want to try this series and i have some room left on my 3ds sd card.

Abyss is good. The 3DS version is okay. The only real bad thing you can about it is that it's 30 FPS. But the loading times are less then the PS2 version and the overworld doesn't shit on itself for the most part in the 3DS version.

Vesperia PS3 is the best game in the series. Berseria is pretty good but its localization really suffered - like they had Siri do voice-to-text for it. Abyss is pretty good too but its cast is fucking shit. Symphonia has the best dungeon design but has a bad cast, bad story, and dated gameplay. Graces f has a terrible cast and story, but the gameplay is good. Xillia 1 and Xillia 2 both have good and bad points and some of their design choices were strange - 2 tries to improve 1, but didn't let you swap characters in combat, and is very reliant on pounding weaknesses. Phantasia has the best story of all of the games I've played, but it feels dated. Eternia is fun but it may as well be Tales of Items because you'll be spamming gels and Life bottles like crazy. Hearts R had a boring story and a protagonist worse than Lloyd, but the combat was fun and some of the characters were okay. And those are all the games I played.
