I dunno about that in comparison to 1, but 3 definitely.
DS3 is the most forgettable game in the franchise. Nothing makes it stand out.

I do love the images where she's in red phantom form. Being able to just grab a nearby red / white phantom and unload on that ass is fantasy fuel.
