I guess making Bug, Fairy, and Ghost into their own damage types. And also having Fighting and Normal. Usually you'd expect either "physical" or some kind of blunt/piercing/slashing system

DnD has poison as a type, and based on that, I'd assume a lot more games do even if I can't name them off the top of my head. Monster Hunter has dragon element.
