Why would you subject yourself to such a grotesque display? Every blemish being covered by a millimeter of foundation is clearly protruding beside a carpet of hair that's not supposed to be visible.

The closer you are to the display, the more resolution difference is noticeable.

So for PC gaming where you're usually about 18 inches (45.72 centimeters) away, maybe 4K. For a console where you're usually more than five feet (1.524 meters) away from the screen, definitely 1080p.

But none of this matters if framerate takes top priority and your hardware isn't top of the line.

60fps means that there'll be 60 images displayed in a second, so when there is movement, even if the game is 4k, at 30fps you'll see less detail. The only time you'll see more detail at 4k/30fps is when the camera is not moving.

As soon as mouse and keyboard enter the equation, FPS is all that matters. The more the merrier, even on a 60hz display. It's so critical for mouse based input to have high fps. Unlike controller thumbsticks, the mouse is a direct extension of multiple parts of your body. Fingers, palm, wrist, and forearm are all involved in operation of the mouse. This is in direct contrast to the thumbstick which only requires the thumb to operate. It means you are MUCH more sensitive to any hand-eye disconnect that occurs at lower framerates. This is exactly why console cucks who've never gamed on PC are so oblivious to how shit games run and the input lag they have on console.
