It really was a shame that she left directly after the arena, I would have liked to see more character development. Having her in other missions being more friendly would have been nice. Perhaps she could even reach romanceable level.

Also, thinking of it, there is literaly no "good" girl to marry in game, like the opposite of lady grey. Some sort of princess (or prince, for people with particular tastes) for example. All you had were generic characters.

Didn't Lady Grey had a sister whom she killed? Being able to bring her back to life after exposing her sister would have been nice.

Anniversary is worse in every way. Uglier, worse performance, changed designs. The only good things are the extra costumes and native controller support.

They also did the worst thing imaginable: they fixed the glitches. No permanent Berserker size, no silver key duplication, no arena grinding, no fun allowed. That alone makes anniversary a waste of time and money.

For me, the perfect set up would be an episodic game where you play as three heroes, each referencing a major event in the Fable lore. For the third act, you'd play as an ancestor of the Hero of Oakvale during the downfall of the Archons, and how the Spire was built and destroyed them, and how their bloodline ended up on Knothole Glade

Fable Heroes looked absolutely gorgeous. Fable was always about the witty cockney british humor and 2 was a little too dumbed down, while 3 abandoned humor altogether.

The Old Kingdom doesn't have a timeframe; presumably the Old Kingdom equates to "Albion under the Archon's rule"; Archon being a demonym of anyone of William Black's bloodline/the ruling class. The Spire exploding killed all known Archons, aside from Black, who would later help Nostro form the Heroes guild, and some unknown ancestor of the playable heroes, who presumably lived on Knothole as that is where Scarlet Robe lived.

It's possible they live forever; we've seen this with Scythe and Theresa. Personally, and this is just headcanon, Scythe only lived forever because of the sword of Aeons as he bound his soul to the blade in order to defeat the Court. He's probably still got prolonged age, but with the sword canonically gone, it's likely he'll eventually die.

Not by a long shot. It only improves on bug fixing (if you call that an improvement) and lighting. Character models are dogshit, the texture upgrades look like shiny clay most of the time, the interface is ghastly and the animations don't even sync with the new models properly.

I think DLC adds some new clothes and possibly a new spell or two, but it isn't worth it.

In case you couldn't get the gist from the other anon's picture, knights were almost exclusively two-handed weapon wielders once plate armor became a thing. Shields existed to compensate for lack of armor. When advanced techniques came around to harden metal, shelds fell out of favor for plate armor for knights in the employ of lords and wealthy enough soldiers.

The longsword is a two-handed weapon. Don't believe those RPGs. It is, by design and historically-backed, a two-handed weapon.

I was playing F3 like 2 months ago.

I'm actually gonna post a CONTROVERSIAL OPINION and say I thought Fable 2 was the worst, solely because of the disappointment in going from such a 10/10 beginning to "oh and none of that matters cause it's been 15 years and you're now in some shitty gypsy camp with no real connection to what happened to you as a child because it's been too fucking long".

If Fable 2 had continued after you got shot out of the window, and you had to walk around the snowy bowerstone from the start and try to make it to adulthood as a street rat, all the while plotting your revenge it would've been even better than fable 1. Instead it breaks the story in half before it can even get going, and basically I don't remember anything else from the game other than the awful tower-on-the-sea part because I was so disappointed the whole time.

90% of the game is about making promises and building up your army of revolutionaries. Then once you're on the throne there's like five thirty second cutscenes where you choose whether or not to uphold promises and that's the entirety to the revolution payoff. Then the big reveal was that your evil brother was basically doing exactly what you were doing with less success. That was my major complaint, story wise. Gameplay wise it further streamlined combat to an insanely coddling level.

I don't think it's as bad as you try to make it sound, the revolution was fantastic fun. Sure the kinghood was a little lame but I think it was a nice twist realizing you were just being a naive little baby and that your brother was trying to save everyone.

The biggest failings of fable 3 was as you rightfully said the streamlined combat, and then in my opinion the fact that if you had spent like an hour grinding jobs you didn't actually ever need to make any hard decisions as a king cause you could just pay out of your own gigantic pocket.

The thing I couldn't stand in it was the combat. The only thing which felt effective at all was a gun. Melee combat got gimped to the point where even flourishes weren't worth it and magic felt like it did too little for the amount of time you had to spend casting it.

Gimmicky stuff like the pause menu room, the hero weapons and trying to eliminate menus in the game only served to make the whole experience more frustrating. I especially hated that pause menu room because of the unnecessarily long load times the game had.

I haven't played Fable 2 since a few months after it released on Xbox 360, so I don't really know, a lot appears to have stemmed from wanting to give the player less repercussions for their actions, and the streamline some of the junk, I think they streamlined a bit far though. I wish I could be the lead dev on one of these games, I'd blow the original devs right the fuck out with ease.

I've just been playing Fable The Lost Chapters on PC for the past few days, This game is kind of shallow by my current standards, retarded shit like decisions being blatantly black and white, scarring and ageing being an inevitability, money loses it's value early on, the map sections are tiny, there are actually very few quests, and side quests are quite miniscule too, companions are a waste of time, I've 1 hit them when they ran in the way of my arrows on more occassions than should be deemed fair, characters like that Rose chick and Whisper appear in like maybe 2 or 3 quests and then are never seen again, your interaction with them outside of story events is miniscule with maybe that time I ran into that Rose chick at the Bowerstone pub and running into Thunder at the Bowerstone school, there's no sequence breaking and for a game that really wants to make you believe you have freedom, there is almost none outside of your own personal expression. At the very beginning of the game there are a bunch of quests on the map that you can't take to make it seem like other heroes exist, and then you never see quests like this again, The Lost Chapters adds in little content and I personally think that the new Jack of Blades Voice is shit, and Jack of Blades worked well as a character without being some faggot ancient evil, the whole jail section was cancer.

I played it on xbox and my friend got the limited edition so we had the strategy guide. Those murals were fucking great. The thing is, though, is that the mural from when you beat dragon Jack in TLC is actually in the vanilla strategy guide so we spent fucking hours trying to figure out how to fight the dragon only for an updated version to come out months later.
