I was in your position a year ago - I upgraded to Win10 and was pleasantly surprised with the faster boot-up and the possibilities for emulation with DX12.

However, the more you use it, the more you see the flaws. Win10 has some shitty systems in place that fuck the experience up, such as built-in adverts, restricting user access (you can no longer automatically run everything as admin), moving essentials such as the fucking calculator to the App Store format (inferior garbage). You are forced to update whether you like it or not so if shit gets broken then you're stuck with it.

As far as gaming goes, Win10 is also far less compatible with older games than Win7 - many older titles (such as Shogo) straight up don't run at all regardless of compatibility settings.


Oh, and Killer Instinct lasted me all of three hours before I got bored. Don't make the same mistake.
