Correct me if I'm wrong, but shaders just make the screen twice as dark when they add lines. I don't know how things like the framemeister look so good. They must be doing something different. Probably why they're like $500.

Only if you want to play light gun games, IMO. Modern HDTVs have good enough latency for gaming.

I never even noticed scan lines as a kid to get nostalgic about them.
