Damn, it's over boys.
Sorry to the 2 guys that bought this thing.
Microsoft said they aren't showing VR off either
>YFW you didn't fall for the VR meme
Let's take a moment to remember those retards who bought this thing and then justified it by saying "CUZ IM NOT A POORFAG"
>>379712893
Got a source on that? Last I heard PSVR was the best selling VR headset by far.
Console VR was always going to be a retarded idea because it cant run porn.
>>379712893
They sold 1 million units.
>>379713679
you mean, they "shipped" 1 million units
>>379712893
VR was a mistake.
>>379713395
So Switch owners?
Good. I want games, not hardware faggotry.
>>379713217
I wonder what are playing people that bought PSVR after Resident Evil 7, because after that it has been dead as fuck.
>>379713401
lmao that's because other VR's aren't mass produced fisher price toys.
less than a mil in over 8 months is pretty pathetic.
>>379712893
>Nintendo is going to spend 13 minutes of their 25 minute Direct dedicated to Nintendo VR

Source?

>PSVR is best selling vr headset
>O-only because it's shit!
Anybody got a source that the PSVR won't have a spotlight at E3?

From the moment I put on the Occulus Rift for the first time, I knew that VR was a gimmick.
-space between pixels is magnified
-sweat makes the screen terrible
-no one can make 60 fps games
-no walking or turning controls
-major developers all running away from it
-it became a weird and desperate meme that was being forced
Feels like everything vidya is falling apart these days.
>>379715046
now imagine the occulus but in 720p/20fps with heavy motion blur
that's psvr
>>379715298
and people were shilling psvr and saying what a better experience it was compared to oculus.
>>379712893
>no source
>>379715046
the first time i put on a HTC Vive and played cloudlands i had the exact opposite reaction, i thought it was amazing stuff.
swinging through trees and landing, didn't try for a long period of time though
>>379716909
*windlands
the one with the robot
>>379716909
That's because the Vive is a well designed HMD.
>>379712893
Sony just needed to release a thing to go "Well at least the Vita sold better than X".
>>379718020
But VR literally has no games and is too expensive to justify buying it. If you have fun with the casual shit if offers good on you. I'll wait until most games have support a regular VR mode.
>>379712893
Do you have a source on that?
The only remotely interesting thing to me was to see how deep they would bury it in this E3.
>>379719070
>But VR literally has no games
It has more than the current consoles.
>>379716909
>cloudlands
oh yeah everyone will be so glad they paid $600 to play minigolf
FAKE NEWS
>>379719769
meant windlands, the robot that swings around like tarzan, i liked the speeding along the ground and swinging around.
>>379719634
As I said, it's a bunch of casual games with no real depth other than "it's VR!!11!"
I wanna play Overwatch or Quake Champions in VR. Not some simple party game.
>>379718749
>stop having fun
i literally never hear anyone talk about a vr game. they're all trying to shill VR itself instead of talking about the actual games.
that's how you know anything is shit.
>>379713440
it can actually https://virtualrealporn.com/playstation-vr/
>>379719926
I doubt anyone will play that kind of game everyday.
Honestly how many times are you going to play those games? 3 or 5 times?
Then you keep buying new games to justify your buy but they're never decent games and you go back to games that don't use VR
>>379720287
well, i don't think they will be played much at all.
not counting the 30 or so odd minutes of the Vive, i myself haven't actually played videogames at all since 1997yet i post everyday on /v/
>>379720121
This.
I watched VR 3D porn on the PSVR myself and had a greaaat time huehue.
no really, once you watch 3D VR porn, regular porn looks like pleb shit.
>>379719960
>As I said, it's a bunch of casual games with no real depth other than "it's VR!!11!"
A tired and worn out meme. Feeling like you're in the game and better yet, using your own hands for stuff adds a great deal to the plate, with the proper support.
Aiming a gun is better than mousing over targets. No argument.
Doing actions by hand is more involved than pressing a button and watching an animation play. No argument.
And if your counter is "muh efficiency" or "That's more work, I want the game to play itself for me" then you're not the target audience for this stuff.
>>379721448
It's a meme because it's true. Yeah it adds a new element but the games are still really casual and slow by design. That was my point. I want to play more intense games like Quake or Overwatch in VR.Animal Crossing VR would be fucking awesome tho
The problem VR has is that /v/ seems to be obsessed with only thinking about it as a videogame platform. Once you expand beyond that idea it's hard to see how it would ever die. It's pretty clear VR in it's current form is here to stay. The benefits it brings are just too big to throw away and pretend it never happened.
>>379715046
>-no one can make 60 fps games
Why does /v/ insists on shitposting without even owning the device?
>>379723329
When I say VR is a meme, I mean it in the video games industry. I don't give a fuck how it's the future for pornography and education and a big benefit for technology advances, etc. That's not what's being discussed here.

I told him not to, oh well
>>379722989
>It's a meme because it's true.
It's a meme because it's repeated in every fucking thread for shits and giggles.
The 'casual and slow' thing is a bit complicated. Super Hot and Robo Recall can be as fast as you can more you point a gun at something but you're under physical limits, so it can seem slower to somebody watching.
Overwatch and Quake in full VR would be awesome but because aiming from a chair sucks and standing can be dizzying, Onward is probably the speed we'll have for now.
>>379713776
No they sold through 1 million
>PSVR
1 million units shipped
>Kinect
18 million units SOLD
