this. story isn't the most time intensive part of making a game. formatting it into the game takes awhile but they could have easily outlined all the important parts by now and story has never really been a big focus of half life despite all the cutscenes, its always been about theme

I literally just had a melt down and formatted my Windows 10 build to go back to 7. EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM disappeared. All my games are now locked in with perfect frametimes, no more stutter. All my color profiles just work. I can disable the stupid fucking DWM for windowed no vsync gaming. Everything is as it should be.

Oh and did I mention I can specifically pick and choose which Windows updates I want?
