All the models, except for the world itself, got touched up and have new, better models/textures. That said,

Well they've stated in interviews that they actually developed the game initially with HD in mind. Its just that the ps2 wasn't made for that. XII pretty much pushed the console to its limits. So they pretty much got the chance to touch up the the game to be closer to how they originally envisioned.

FFXII was okay and way better than games like FF2 or FF13.

That said, I respect your opinion because you are right to a degree. It is a single player MMO, but its implemented really well and the gambit system is amazing for what strats you can pull.

FF XII is basically Persona 3, the less you play the game and the more the game plays itself, the easier it gets. Fucking autobattle is cancer beyond compare.

12 was shit a decade ago, and still shit today. I put 20h to it before just stopping. Later on heard from a friend of mine, who did actually beat it, that I missed fucking nothing.

Boring world, terrible cast for the most part, awful writing, and a game that plays itself. Vola, a shit soup.

because there is totally no effort in setting up gambits at all and the only thing you do is set up automatic attacks and healing, nothing else
also, pressing the confirm button to attack hundreds of times totally makes other games have better gameplay

Same gameplay, one just understands the monotonous gameplay and streamlines it a bit so you are not cycling the same menus as much.

To be fair the actual battles/menus could've been cleaned up a bit in XII. If you don't utilize Gambits, going manual control can be a pain.
