VaatiVidya did more harm than good for the series and for the most part his only good videos are the secrets ones assuming they are unrelated to the lore. The only time I would use a wikia for Dark Souls is to see the required stats for X. If I wanted to see all of the cancer for the game I would just check the TV Tropes page.

WoW had one on wikia then moved to gamepedia around Cataclysm, but the wikia one stayed up and some people still stuck there to edit it even with all the admins gone.

So articles for things pre-2010 are all largely the same, but there's a big difference in quality between the two wikis for everything after that.

I signed up for an account on the Terraria wiki (the good one) just so I could go on a crusade and start cleansing that shit, because you need an account to remove trivia sections even though guests can add them as they please.

There was one guy who claimed that the "Daylight" painting (portraying the forest biome- there's one for every biome in the game) was a Minecraft reference because the painting was blocky. I shit you not.
