you can purchase VC, but you can play offline games to get VC as well. VC is used to upgrade your MyPlayer or purchase packs for MyTeam. since you dont care for online stuff you shouldn't worry about VC. you can increase the amount of VC earned by increasing the difficulty you play your MyCareer, MyLeague, or MyGM games

when did you last play it? they just added AFK experience farming aka "training" for characters.

I fucking hate the random roulette when it comes to character upgrades via cards, pets, etc. Some classes are also just flat out better and the meta is the same with the NBA aka 3pt and rebound.

Not to mention the game relies heavily on ping when it comes to rebound so you're fucked if you're the big man on the paint.

The game engine itself is outdated as well as the HUD and UI. There have been many upgrades from the its predecessor but it looks so minimal when you actually play the game.
