PC is more expensive overall, High End parts cost couple k to be relevant to be considered high end. High end monitors are expensive, peripherals are expensive. Already own a decent PC quit telling other to build one, they obvious made a choice to get the Scorpio instead.

I'm with you my man. Xbox has some amazing features I won't go back to PC and give up on. LFG feature has got to be the easiest way to get into a match with everyone having a mic on your team in the industry and I absolutely love it for SMITE, Rainbow Six, and F13th. I'm going to be all over Destiny 2 with that LFG feature.

I still buy some things on my PC, but I'd rather things just be crossplay so I can play on my Xbox. I'd rather just have my laptop infront of my with a Xbox controller in my hand.

PC gamers can't give up Steam to realize the benefits of playing on healthier multiplayer games and the amazing features consoles can have. Also PC is really where all the little school kids play these days and I'm not a fan of playing with pre-teens. The paywall on yearly online and console purchase keeps most of that shit on tablets and PC.

Idort + Laptop next to me is my preferred way to game.

You would be correct if programming was entirely done in floats.

the half-float aspect means the PS4 will be able to run games faster and smoother if they implement them, but reality is that when a 3rd party company makes a multi-platform game they're not going to use features specific to one console. Scoprio doesn't handle half floats, so half floats won't be used. Just like how FFXIII moved the open world segment to the end of the game to accommodate for Xbox 360 needing multiple discs. Fancy features or hardware exclusive to one console will generally only ever matter in exclusive games.

No one is going to use half floats except for Sony, and even then they likely won't make enough to make a substantial difference. They should already be using pointers and references.

DF and many other highly rated youtuber have gone over it. What consoles need to do is start incorporating upgrade-able hardware. We all knew this current generation was coming at a poor time when it launched and that this generation would be short because of it.

Half floats allow for more efficient memory usage. There's no benefit to allocating 32 bits of space for data that can be contained in 16 bits or less.

Microsoft CPU is much better than PS4 cpu due to Direct x12 reducing the amount of commands needed by a lot.
