Coca cola has always been a san-serif refined cursive font logo, and has always had an air of nobility and class to it ever since the early 20s, in fact it was usually the higher class who has coca cola fountains avalible over the working class citizens. Which is why all the amrketing was celebreties, War heroes, and clean-cut wholesome american personas like Men in suits and women in aprons.

Pepsi is more "Get your friends together and have a drink" oriented, its not formal, its not welcoming, its just grab a drink and sit down. Its very modernized and very curt by comparison
