Also Nintendo essentially shuns E3 with the Nintendo Directs and sidesteps the OTT conferences with planted audiences full of paid clappers by running their own online show and just having a show floor presence.

E3 has become a lot about appealing to investors which is why we see content like cowadooty and sportshit advertised like crazy at E3 now. It's becoming far too commercialised and it's just ruining a lot of potential for better games and interesting indie titles that may actually not be shit.

Look at Sony's E3 last year. They had someone play God of War for 15 minutes. And Days Gone for about 15/20 minutes.
