Not to mention Sonia's character goes absolutely nowhere, Linus, Lloyd and Ursula are as interesting as cardboard and Lyn's story is way too long and boring.

The few charactersnit does well are very good, I agree, but the rest of the cast suffers from 0 development, relevance, or attention. Really, outside Eliwood, Hector, Athos, Nils, Nino and Jaffar, maybe Zephiel, there's not much to say about anyone at all

The system was retarded, weapon wt and Con were on different screens in the GBA games, so you had to flip back and forth between them to calculate it, then subtract the result from speed, then compare your speed to enemy speed. If a character dies, it's likely already in such a shitty position that you can't do much, unless you just made a huge mistake. Turnwheel is fine, but it needs fewer uses, and the amount of time you can rewind needs to be tightened.

I mean, they just always have a 0% chance of crit. It's stupid to allow a chance to lose a unit to a stray crit in a game with supposed permadeath. You could control all the variables as best you can, but as you say, get tagged by that 1% and now you're fucked.

To compensate, give enemies who normally would have Killer weapons or the like just straight-up higher attack, since the purpose is to kill them with range or avoid them anyway. Maybe up the enemy's accuracy in general, to offset the loss of random crits.
