But I don't pretend that all PCs have powerful machines. I just know that mine is powerful. That said, I think it's great that consoles are making some pretty big strides in hardware. Sure, they may still haven't made 60fps a standard, but with hardware that's able to push native 4k at 30fps, it's not so much a stretch that they can include an option to play the game at say 1440p but 60fps. I know, it may not end up being Ultra settings at 1440p60fps or 4k30fps but the standard graphics these days are pretty impressive already and I can understand the need for a compromise.

These strides in hardware may also mean that we're getting closer to a return to focusing on advanced physics calculation in games again. I want to see what MS are able to do with Crackdown 3 in regards to that and hopefully it'll cause other developers to take an interest in it as well. Just seems like things are looking up for the industry as a whole and I've noticed that a lot less are taking part in console war faggotry too. Feels good.

Only thing that makes sense is that they specifically mean the Assassin's guild from the first game, in the holy land. Like this game will end with him traveling to Masayaf and founding that location, but Assassin's themselves have already existed before in isolated pockets, like >>379645270 said.

Either way you're right, it's hype generation. Honestly I don't care, I love this time period and location, and have been wanting this setting for awhile now. Only place I wanted more was ancient Rome, but hopefully we'll get that eventually.

I didn't bring it up in my posts, since I haven't played a game since 4 and don't really know how they've retconned things, but as I recall the first game went with the "historical" interpretation of the Assassins being founded by Al Mualim and then smeared as a cult. Then later the games expanded into the "well Assassins have always been around, as have Templars, despite those two groups in one having their more historical origins in that game" with the excuse being what I related. We've never really had a game go before 1, so it's never really been a problem since the Assassins and Templars appear to have continuity since the crusade times to the present.

Al Mualim is in charge when 1 starts, but I don't remember anything stating he was the founder. Been awhile, so I could be wrong. The Templars are around before the crusades, but they aren't technically called Templars until then. Different names for the same ideals. According to this info dump they're called the Crocodiles in this game.

I mean you realize that they said that both the PC and Scorpio version were relatively the same and the scorpio version ran smoother with the PC version running at 30. In their entire description of the game the scorpio version comes out ahead of PC. They're clear to also note that both versions are unoptimized versions of the game.

I'd guess the game is probably 30 locked on all platforms but aside from that the Scorpio comes out looking like a beast giving PCs a run for their money and it blows playstation a new asshole.

I don't get why PC guys are even threatened by the scorpio anyway. Aside from scorpio promoting W10 on PCs it ultimately makes PC gaming better.
