Why do you honestly hate this game so much?
It's the Other M of Zelda, a step down from its predecessor in every regard.
TP vs SS
•Heart Containers in TP take 5 pieces to fill and there are 11 to get. Making 55 pieces. SS' take 4 and there are only 6 pieces to get, making 24 pieces. 60% decrease in content.
•TP: Fairies don't get used if Link has max health and they interact with him in TP. This fixture was not added in SS and they don't interact.
•Bow and arrows. You can aim in first (GCN v.) or third person and bomb arrows. You can also snipe. In SS you can only snipe because every item has only one use.
•Can z-target while using items in TP. You can't Z-target and use any projectile items in SS.
•Horseback combat > N/A
•Sword techniques. No techniques in SS aside from the Finishing Blow. 88.333% decrease.
•You never run out of stamina as wolf Link. Did I mention you could transform into any time if you want (as long as nobody is looking)? You can't even open your sailcloth when you're falling in SS until the game prompts you.
•Three kinds of bombs.
•Better graphics, music, and lore.
•Secrets like the graveyard, the giant arch outside Kakariko, the grotto with shiny chus in Snowpeak Province, and the hidden tunnels inside Hyrule Castle Town. I don't even remember this one myself but it's on the internet. http://forums.legendsalliance.com/topic/12603-twilight-princess-secrets/

It was an okay game but I expected something different.
The main point that bothers me is that the sky is too small and empty and the ground levels feel kinda small and limited, more like hallways.
I don't like combat with motion controls either, I just couldn't get a good grip on it.
Oh and Fi, as cute as she was was also really bothersome and kept nagging you way too often about controller battery life and shit like that.

-Pointless sky, flying unnecessarily takes ages when there's nothing to explore and the only thing to break up the monotony is boosting, which for some ungodly reason has to recharge. Everything you do once you get on your bird is detractive, it's not that it's not fun, it's actively ruining my desire to keep playing
-le pinecone of doom. I don't need to say anything more about it
-stamina. It's an interesting idea but in practice all it did was artificially slow me down. Every puzzle or area that requires you to conserve it is brain dead easy, or you have plenty of time to run over sand patches, but when you are backtracking or otherwise just want to go faster than a saunter, you have to wait for the gauge to refill ever few steps
-inaccurate motion controls. Say what you want about them, maybe it's better than 99% of motion control reading, but I want 100% of my swings to register, 4/5 is not acceptable. Just give me traditional controls if you can't meet this, I won't think you're dated for doing so Nintendo. Also fuck the scarab, turning more than 30 degrees is a nightmare
-empty. Sidequests are sparse compared to every other zelda.
-repetitive. Very homogeneous geographies

I love it visually and some of the bosses are cool, but you only ever visit 3 areas that are all pretty basic, and there's so many parts that i dont want to have to play through again that I can't justify playing it again.
Definitely a zelda game you ought to play once, though.
>>379618761
>Overworld is a fucking joke, the sea in WW is more populated and lively
>Only 3 main areas and you have to backtrack through each 3 times
>Game is piss easy
>Combat is just a giant game of simon says i.e. attacking either vertically or horizontally depending on how the enemy is blocking.
>Controls are alright but still only work 9% of the time

this

*95% of the time
It sucks. And so does BotW.
>>379618761
I didn't even play it because I fucking hate motion controls.

>better music
Okay I agree with everything but this. SS had some fantastic music all around, and while TP had good music, some of it is like physically painful to listen to.

SS only had Ballad of the Goddess if we're being perfectly honest. Even the intro music which Kondo directed isn't his best work tbph.
It's the ultimate culmination of the direction the Zelda franchise was going in since Ocarina of Time, slowly abandoning things that made Zelda 1 so fun for most people with an increased emphasis on story and linearity. After Zelda 1, each game got slightly more linear than the last, which we saw come to its logical extreme in SS, which has almost no exploration, is incredibly linear, and story-heavy out the ass. Add in stuff like Fi's hand-holding and the repetition in boss fights (Risen) and revisiting the same three worlds over and over, and yeah, it's not gonna fly with people who actually like the Zelda series for its gameplay.
That said, the only Zeldas I actually really like are Majora's Mask and Wind Waker, mainly for their world, characters, and story, so I actually really like Skyward Sword for those reasons. If that disqualifies me from being a Zelda fan, then fine.

>If that disqualifies me from being a Zelda fan, then fine.
Nah, you like MM. So you're fine.
Nintendo still treats players like complete mongoloids in this game, a rehash of the OOT formula, except this time they made your retard handler fuckable!
It's padded with useless shit and backtracking to *changed* areas instead of expanding on the areas you could visit.
The difficulty is also nonexistent and gameplay is dull because of it. The only difficulty arises out of the dumb shit all the item and boss mechanics makes you do.
The only redeeamble thing on this game is the music and the slut Zelda porn.
Otherwise if you're autistic and love being handheld like true Zeldas do, you'll love this game and hate BotW.
I don't
It's a solid 7.5/10

It's so many miles above TP and WW that I'm convinced the shit posting comes from people who didn't own Wiis or were too fat and lazy to move their arms from side to side.
One of the better 3D Zeldas, and one of the few 3D era Nintendo games with genuinely beautiful graphics.
Motion controls are fun, but fighting the enemies isn't.
I'd be fine with them if they weren't just Simon Says.
