I have p5 and finished nier and yakuza. I am exhausted and want something else to play.

If you like - and aren't burned out from - Far Cry-like open world with maps full of activity icons, hunting/crafting etc games, then sure. The gameplay's satisfying and the game looks great (apart from the weird character models/designs)

If, like me, you're getting tired of that gameplay formula then you might want to wait til it's cheaper. I got it on release and played it for a couple of days and it got stale for me pretty quickly.

It's a great game though, don't get me wrong.

The real question is, an I missing out on a lot of I have a PS4, but not a Pro? I heard this was actually very well optimized, just wanted to hear from someone who's played on a basic PS4.

I loved it. Played stealthy all the way through and it was a blast killing the big robots. Don't care much for killing human targets though.
I beat it with my friends copy for free and bought it for 45$ after because I wanted to platinum it.

Personally, it's great. I convinced 3 friends to get it for $40 and 2 of them platinum it.

PROTIP: if you aren't a complete retard, play it on very hard. The game is terrible easy in normal and a cakewalk on hard. I don't know why the developers decided to make it like that but very hard balances your weapons and the robot dinosaurs battles.

Yeah, it's a pretty good game. I'd give it a 7 maybe an 8 out of 10.

If you enjoy games like Ass Creed or Far Cry then you gonna love Horizon.

And of-course play the game on hard because overall the gameplay is easy and simplistic.

Fighting the larger robots can be fun, and there's a decent variety of weapons to choose from. Personally I enjoyed the story and really liked Aloy. Plus it's piss easy to Plat it and you get an icon and theme for it.

Sadly, no. Around Christmas time they changed it so you could sign in online, but there is no trial and worst of all, it can take literal days before your account is recognized. I signed up on the same day as a huge sale, and was screwed over.

The membership is completely worth it, but my goodness that one day sale would have been awesome.

At first didn't care for the story and decided to do a shitton of sidequest. When I got back on the game again and the Eren story happened in Meridian, it's where it hooked me. Haven't finished it though, I'm almost at the end and im 80 hours in because the random robot fights are addictive. Plus in very hard you can't actually one shot thunderjaws or stormbirds that easilly.

There are a lot of ways to down robots. The combination of robots may force you to use different combination of weapons which is great imo. You have slings, bows and casters. Then, you get variation of elemental for those (with added status effects). Then, it may get tear, damage or blast properties each.
Melee sucks though. I can't defend that.

I was adamantly against playing the game, but a buddy let me borrow it and it wasn't terrible. By no means is it GOTY and I feel like it's overrated, but it's definitely worth a play. It felt like far cry with some elements of the witcher. Combat is generally fun, but it wears off later. Quests weren't too memorable, and I felt like Aloy was sort of bland. As far as SJW shit posting, I personally didn't find anything that intrusive aside from a few very small moments. 6.5/10 for me

It's definitely worth it for a great, fun adventure! The story is good and pretty consuming. The gameplay is smooth and you really get the hunter experience as you try to conquer the machines with your weapons, inventory, and armor.

Not at all. Sandbox games create a world with a bunch of fun shit in and let you mess around. Open world games are typically traditional titles that you don't have to complete in a linear fashion.

Most GTA games don't even have open worlds, there are entire sections of the map locked off until you get to a particular level of story progression

Sorry to hear that but Best Buy is usually willing to help you out in that regard. If you bought the game and the membership and went to a store with proof, a manager will almost always help you out. It's a bit of a hassle and it's definitely going into hardcore jew territory but you do what you gotta do. Also, I second that Gamer's Plus Unlocked or whatever it's called. It's pretty cheap and the discounts are impressive. I'm surprised they've kept it going for as long as they have.

I don't think HZD is for RTS/MOBA/racing fans. I'd recommend it to pretty much everyone who likes Witcher 3 because they're similar in its gameplay but has better combat.
