8 Deluxe is literally a botched version of Mario Kart 8. Objectively worse. Whoever was in charge of this port at Nintendo had a very retarded "more is more" mentality while clearly not thinking about how those changes would affect the gameplay.

Especially since with the switch you're looking at 70 dollars a fucking controller. Couch gaming is prohibitively expensive on this thing and it's not even a fucking good controller, it's a nintendo controller without a Nintendo DPAD.
You're objectively better off playing the WiiU version or ANY OTHER VERSION of Mario Kart over Deluxe.

The leaders of the race have double the items to defend themselves with and 8 already had a problem with people breaking away from the pack early and staying their. And the pack in an online race is effectively RNG with the amount of items on the field in Deluxe.
