>DayZ clone
>From the guy who made Big Rigs

My brother preordered that game before it changed its name and etc
The company never refunded him

>Actual DayZ
>Hats, and more hats
>More bugs introduced then content
>player base no longer exists
>Never left early access
>The original early access scam

>Back when it was called The War Z
>Try to warn everyone it's made by Big Rigs guy and they're a bunch of scamming jews
>Literally a reskin of War Inc with zombies
>Literally evidence of the devs spawning in free equipment and running train on noobs
>Get raughed off because HYPE DAY Z COMPETITOR
>Weeks later
>OH NO IT WAS A BIG SCAM WHO SAW THIS COMING
>IF ONLY SOMEONE HAD WARNED US
>>379576730
From the get go, it was a casualized DayZ, which attracted normies left and right.

WarZ was released before DayZ standalone doe. DayZ hadn't gone completely to shit by then.
>Forever Early Access
>Dev releases unfinished game
>The community who purchased the game creates content for the devs
>Devs just waits for the community to add features, and integrates those features in game.
>"Fanbase" gets rabid over criticism

So basically
>Minecraft approach
This game was pretty fun for all of the 2 hours I played it and burned down my house and every other house.

>WarZ was released before DayZ standalone doe.
Yea you're right.
>DayZ hadn't gone completely to shit by then.
It was complete shit from day one though with it not even being anywhere where the mod was at that point. It remained shit, but would get slightly better with some updates.

TFW I bought Gold / Legendary or whatever years ago for this shit...
>>379576730
I actually bought this when it first came out and had a blast because I didn't even know what day z was. The only people who hated this were screaming man children upset their fav mod was used as inspiration

Is thread about blatant rippoffs as in a game that ripped off another game, or games that ripped the consumer off?
If it's games that ripped of the consumer then I'd go with gone home.
>Retail priced game demo

This would be GOAT if there were NPCs with actual AI. But sadly all it will ever be is a barren zombie-filled map with no story, interesting locations, interesting interactions, or anything to do after a base is made. Maybe if the concept got expanded to an oldschool type of MMO with a fuckhuge map and lots of players, but that's way outside the scope of the dev's capabilities
