They weren't trying to make it control like Banjo Kazooie but at the same time wanted to use familiar ideas from the series.

It's a mix that doesn't work well together and probably would've been better as a game that didn't try to remind people of Banjo. Problem is that if it didn't remind people of Banjo then it wouldn't have gotten the same amount of publicity.

I'll be really sad if they announce Banjo, because I'm not getting an Xbox just for one game. I hate video games, everything is a monkeys paw type deal now.
