Not really? if you watch the video it actually has some different mechanics like taking words from your opponent's verse and then choosing one of four different verses that may be more or less effective against the opponent. It's an interesting addition to the old formula of only just pressing notes as they come, unlike Yooka Laylee that copied old platformers too closely without changing anything.

There is a point where you need to discern differences between styles and gameplay mechanics, because if you were actually into Parappa the rapper, you would immediately pick up on both the similarities and the differences. The biggest focus of this video is the implementation of the gameplay, and the overall feel of the game, which are already both completely different from anything that's been in the Parappa games.

A sidescrolling 2D stealth/puzzle game where you play as the Blob and must shift through rooms, vents, pipes etc. consuming all the people and animals in the level without them seeing you.

The catch- consuming stuff takes time (you could get spotting by something walking around) and each time you consume something you grow, making it harder for you to hide. Think Mark of the Ninja meets Centipede.

This could be a lot of fun and the only real drawback I can think of is vorefags catching wind of it and ruining the community instantly
