Whats your opinion about switch
I have no need to ever "game on the go" so the mobile aspect of it is pointless to me. and the entire thing seems based around that
so
It's not console enough to be a cool home console and not nearly portable enough to justify as a portable system, I'd be better off with a laptop but if it gets some exclusives I might break down and get one. Given the current state of things I think I'll be alright though.
Uninteresting but it'll be my Bayo machine in due time
>>379547060
Same here anon
>>379546371
I like it, mostly what I've been playing on lately.
>>379546371
>barely outselling WiiU
LMAO
>>379547328
its doing much better than the wii u in the us though
>>379547723
source?
>>379546371
In my opinion it's the 7th best selling game console in the first 13 weeks in Japan.
>>379546371
I don't like BOTW's gameplay at all, and Mario Odyssey had a lot of flat areas shown off in trailers that don't look like they'd be fun to platform through.
The only games I have any hope for on it are Fire Emblem 2018 and maybe SMT if they fix the dungeon crawling.
>>379546371
I wish Nintendo still made games that werent either mario, zelda, or shovelware
>>379547328
Wasn't the problem with the Wii U that sales on it just kind of stopped when the hype died down?
I'm not fucking buying it unless a new DonkyKong or Metroid game. Literally everything else I don't give a shit about or could emulate with Cemu
>>379546371
Game Boy Advance sucked.
There I said it.
>>379547884
https://twitter.com/ZhugeEX/status/867848201507885056 switch has 1.2m us sales in first two months, more than wii
Although I cant find an exact stat for Wii U sellthrough in the first two months, we all know it was less than wii sales
I've never said to myself "this game would be better if it was running on a tegra"
>>379547328
>march vs december
>supply constrained
are you retarded?
I guess its a cool idea.
But I will most likely never buy one. I'll play Zelda on a friends WiiU.
I don't really care about any other Nintendo franchise besides MetroidPrimeand we will never get another one.
Nintendo just isn't for me anymore. I won't deny they make good games but I can't waste money on something to play like one or two games, just not worth it.
I've minimized my entire console collection to my PS4, PS3, and Vita. I then have my PC which I can play PS2, Dreamcast, and Gamecube games on.
>>379549093
>>march vs december
Are you really that ignorant that you think Japanese people give gifts on Christmas?
>>379549756
they do, xmas is not celebrated as a religion thing but they still use it as a holiday for CAPITALISM HO!! you retard
>>379549941
They eat "Christmas cake" and thats about it, they might give the ocassional gift to their partner, but its highly unusual to see gifts to kids and family members on christmas.
You clearly dont know shit.
Christmas doesnt boost sales in Japan AT ALL.
>>379549941
Christmas is a couples' holiday in Japan, their family holidays/capitalism festival is more centered around Golden Week.
>>379546371
Nintendo is criminally undersupplying it to make it look popular
That's pretty much all we know at this point
>>379550215
Weeb here, haven't been to Japan because it's expensive but I've studied Japanese and know over 600 words and I watch a lot of Japanese television. You don't know shit, Christmas is almost as huge there as it is in the West. Sales are up 300% nationwide.
>>379550527
https://www.whychristmas.com/cultures/japan.shtml
>Christmas Eve is often celebrated more than Christmas Day. Christmas eve is thought of as a romantic day, in which couples spend together and exchange presents.
I can totally see couples gifting Wii Us to eachother bud.
>>379550458
Wrong again. Sales are actually really low during golden week because most stores are closed.
Japan has a holiday season similar to ours, but it's not because of Christmas. It's because of New Years. That's basically the Japanese Christmas.

They all show peaks in W1 (and W52 for the ones that have it)
>>379546371
I think it needs a redesign to fix all of it's flaws.
Until then I have no reason to buy one and I will just stick with pc.
>Something call a WonderSwan outsold anything Microsoft ever released
wtf is this shit and where can I buy it?
>sales in japan
Show me worldwide sales.
>>379552387
Would be worse because of EU where Nintendo never took off
Basically America is Nintendo's last good market. EU is Sony land and Japan is abandoning everything, even handhelds, for mobile gaming
While the numbers are supply constrained, Nintendo knows their market. If they could have sold twice that much, they would have shipped twice that much. The reality is that the demand isn't there, and it's more important that the Switch is sold out to give the illusion of popularity
It's too big to be a good portable and too weak for a modern home console.
>>379552820
>EU is Sony land
lol. EU loves Nintendo's handhelds. Switch is going to sell like one.
>>379553068
why is Xbox so low on all of these charts posted?
>>379553958
didn't mean to quote anything
>>379549756
Sales data says they do.
>>379546371
The console itself is really nice. I like setting up the screen around the house and detaching the joycons for maximum comf.
But it aint got no fucking games. Zelda was great, but that shit only lasted me a week or two and my switch has been collecting dust since, with no end to that drought in sight. No game is worth $360, especially not a single-player one that doesn't keep you busy for even a month.
>>379553068
Last I checked the switch EU sales were abysmal.
>>379553068
>EU loves Nintendo's handhelds
They're not even an official region on Nintendo's fiscal reports. It's Japan, America and "other".
I have a switch, i fin it convenient to be able to play mario kart on the go, or after classes, or any time I'm not doing anything. and the sideways joy cons are definitely not the preferred way to play, it is useful when bringing it places
>>379554759
>and the sideways joy cons are definitely not the preferred way to play
I find MK8 downright unplayable with a single joycon. The shoulder buttons are terrible, even if you use the slide thing
>>379554759
One of my bigger problems with the console is how much they sacrificed for that joycon shit. They're ugly and uncomfortable as FUCK for larger hands in all configurations. I basically just use the pro controller always (which is ugly as sin on it's own but that's a different story).
>>379554712
Europe's consolidated into "Other" for sales numbers, but they are listed separately for revenue. By the look of it, Europe accounts for most of "Other." Comparing the sales data, they do seem to compare better with America and Japan with the handhelds than the home consoles. Their turnout for the Switch was relatively high.
>>379547328
and PS3 and PS4...
>>379548919
The Wii U outsold both in its first months. What should be remembered is that the Wii's launch wasn't all that strong and that it didn't become popular until after it was featured on Oprah ala Tickle Me Elmo and became a fad.
>>379551975
>he doesn't own a wonder swan or a wonder swan colour
>want to buy a switch
>can't find one in any nearby stores
>scalpers are selling it for over $100 more online
suffering
>>379556652
The Switch sold faster than the Wii U. Wii U sold 890,000 in the US in 6 weeks. Switch sold 906,000 in the US in 4 weeks.
>>379557520
It's ok anon. After a week or two it'd be like not owning one anyways.
