MH as a movie needs only two core components utilized, proper lore building/utilization and badass fight/hunting scenes. The latter is something Hollywood can definitely do, so I'm hopeful for eye candy if not a faithful film.

The whole point of the rumor is that they're releasing a casualized MonHun for the West. Of course Japan doesn't want it. The biggest appeal to the series, the local co-op play won't exist there.

So it would make sense for Capcom to officially shoot themselves in the foot at E3 where they can mask it behind the hype and excitement of people who won't actually play the series but want it on the system because it typically sells massively well.
